Job Description

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible International Trade Documentation & Back Office Support Specialist to support its cotton import/export business and daily office administration in Singapore.



Key Responsibilitie

  • sHandle cotton import/export order follow-up, including contract preparation, review, filing, shipment tracking, logistics updates and payment follow-up
  • .Prepare and review trade and shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin and other customs-related documents
  • .Coordinate with freight forwarders on booking, shipment arrangement, B/L checking and cargo tracking
  • .Assist with Letter of Credit (L/C) document review, amendment suggestions, discrepancy handling and bank submission support
  • .Maintain customer records, order tracking files and proper electronic documentation
  • .Support finance-related matters such as payment follow-up, bank reconciliation, cost calculation and quotation preparation
  • .Assist in preparing CIF / CFR / FOB quotations based on exchange rates, freight charges and related cost factors
  • .Support daily office administration, including document filing, office supplies, mailing, meeting arrangements and general office coordination
  • .Liaise with local authorities and service providers when required, including ACRA, IRAS, Singapore Customs, banks and other relevant parties
  • .Assist with office contracts, lease documents, employee records, compliance files, invoices and expense claims
  • .Support bank account opening, online banking matters and trade finance document preparation when needed
  • .Handle other ad-hoc duties assigned by management

Key Requiremen

  • tsBachelor’s degree or above, preferably in International Trade, Textile, Finance, Accounting, Law or a related fiel
  • d.At least 1 year of experience in commodity trading, cotton, agricultural products, metals, supply chain, trade documentation or related fields is preferre
  • d.Familiar with international trade processes, including booking, customs documentation, shipping documents and payment settlemen
  • t.Experience in L/C document checking, document preparation and bank submission will be an advantag
  • e.Good attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility and able to manage multiple orders at the same tim
  • e.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting systems or willingness to learn cost calculation will be a plu
  • s.Able to communicate professionally in English and Mandarin, as the role requires handling English/Mandarin trade documents, contracts and emails, and liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers and business partner
  • s.Candidates with Singapore trading company experience or knowledge of Singapore trade compliance will be highly preferre
