ROOTS Asia Pacific Hiring! Full Time Finance Executive in Selangor - Ricebowl

The Finance Executive is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of ROOTS Asia Pacific, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, claims processing and accurate financial records.

The role works closely with the Finance Manager to maintain strong financial controls, improve processes and support the transition from AutoCount to Xero as ROOTS continues to grow regionally.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to play an active role in building the future Finance function of ROOTS.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and prepare full set accounts (SMEs) : Data entry and preparation of all documentation relating to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cashbook and General Ledger (training will be provided)
• To perform daily accounting operations : prepare invoices, debit/credit notes, purchase orders, statement of accounts, bank reconciliation, assign job number, quotation number, vendor registration and etc.
• Review and highlight abnormalities of customers' and suppliers' quotations to Finance Manager.
• Monitor billings, jobs and departmentals’ margin and supplier costs.
• To manage receivables invoicing & collection.
• To prepare payment to supplier and monthly operating expenses for Finance Manager
• To prepare Directors’ claim by monthly basis and check staff claim
• To maintain proper and accurate accounts records and filings
• To liaise with other departments on finance and accounts related matters.
• Participating in regular WIPs and meetings, with key stakeholders as the subject matter expert
• Providing support or assistant for external audit, tax reporting and submission of government returns
• Prepare and courier finance documents, assist on travelling request for project purpose.

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Experience in accounting software such as AutoCount, Xero, QuickBooks or similar systems.
• Experience in service industries, agencies or project-based businesses is an advantage.
• Familiarity with client finance portals is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with accounting systems and finance workflows.
• Comfortable learning new systems and technologies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
