Job Description
Responsibilities
- Monitor health and availability of the SIEM and MDR platform infrastructure
- Onboard new log sources and prepare log baselines for new device additions
- Configure the SIEM console to collect, parse and normalise logs from new log sources
- Troubleshoot log source connectivity issues and track log stoppage
- Monitor connector and collector status and raise tickets for failures
- Verify daily automated backup jobs and raise tickets on backup failures
- Define and configure health monitoring parameters and their thresholds
- Raise tickets with the SIEM administrator when health thresholds are breached
- Perform recovery of data or configuration as needed
- Support license verification and capacity tracking for ingested log sources
- Apply approved changes to rules, scheduled reports and dashboards
- Maintain SIEM/MDR platform patching and version compliance in coordination with vendors
- Complete shift handover reports and daily infrastructure status reporting
- Escalate platform or infrastructure issues to the Delivery Lead as per the escalation matrix
