Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an R&D Software Engineer based in Penang, Malaysia. The R&D Software Engineer will be responsible for conducting research and development activities, designing and implementing software solutions to support product development, and performing testing to ensure quality and performance. The role requires strong engagement in understanding customer needs and translating them into practical applications.

Qualifications

• Strong capabilities in Research and Development (R&D) and Research methodologies to develop innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in Product Development and Testing to ensure the delivery of reliable and high-quality solutions.
• Well-honed Analytical Skills for problem-solving and process optimization in a technology-focused environment.
• Familiarity with optical inspection systems and knowledge of deep learning algorithms is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to software engineering is preferred (e.g., QT , C++, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
