Job Summary
The Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Housekeeping Department. This role ensures effective communication between departments, maintains accurate room status records, coordinates daily housekeeping activities, and contributes to delivering a clean, comfortable, and pleasant experience for hotel guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and room assignments.
- Update room status in the hotel system accurately and promptly.
- Communicate with the Front Office, Engineering, and other departments regarding room availability and maintenance issues.
- Answer phone calls and respond to housekeeping requests from guests and other departments.
- Prepare daily reports, filing, and other administrative duties.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies and coordinate stock requests.
- Record and follow up on lost and found items.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper with scheduling, attendance records, and departmental documentation.
- Ensure all records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
Requirements
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team player.
- Able to work on weekends, and public holidays.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
