We're Hiring: AIX Level 3 Engineer (Senior UNIX Platform Engineer)

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor

Mode: Onsite

Employment: 1-Year Contract

Experience: 7–12 Years

We're looking for an experienced AIX Level 3 Engineer to support mission-critical banking infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and regulatory compliance across enterprise UNIX platforms.

What we're looking for:

• 7–12 years of UNIX administration experience with 5+ years of hands-on AIX experience in banking or regulated environments.
• Expert knowledge of IBM AIX 7.x, Power Systems, PowerVM, PowerHA, LPAR, and VIOS.
• Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL/SUSE); Solaris experience is an added advantage.
• Advanced expertise in AIX LVM, filesystems, boot recovery, NIM, OS patching, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Strong troubleshooting skills covering CPU, memory, I/O bottlenecks, errpt analysis, storage, SAN, NPIV, MPIO, and hardware failures.
• Experience supporting core banking systems, payment platforms, and settlement systems.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Spectrum Protect, NetBackup, Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
• Knowledge of security hardening, OS patching, audit compliance, and regulatory standards (ISO 27001, BNM RMiT, OCSA).
• Experience leading Major Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and mentoring L1/L2 engineers.
• Willing to participate in 24x7 on-call support for critical production systems.

Preferred Certifications:

• IBM AIX / Power Systems Certification
• RHCE / RHCSA
• ITIL Foundation
• ISO 27001 Awareness
