Environmental Assessment (EA) Consultant

As part of our growth, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior EIA Consultant to join our dynamic and purpose-driven team.

Role Summary

As an EIA Consultant, you will lead and manage the preparation and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments across diverse projects. You will play a key role in engaging clients, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into the decision-making process.

 Key Responsibilities

·      Lead and manage EA projects from inception to approval.

·      Conduct scoping, baseline studies, impact assessments, and mitigation planning.

·      Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including ecologists, planners, engineers, and legal advisors.

·      Liaise with clients, statutory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.

·      Review and quality-check technical reports and documentation.

·      Provide strategic advice on environmental legislation and sustainability frameworks.

·      Mentor and guide junior staff in project execution and technical development.

Qualifications and Experience

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, or a related field.

·      Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in EIA consultancy.

·      Proven track record managing EIA submissions and securing approvals.

·      Strong knowledge of local environmental regulations and international standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles).

·      Excellent project management and client communication skills.

·      Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver under tight timelines.

·      Professional certifications or EIA Assessor registration (where applicable) is an advantage.
