Sunrise Wine & Spirits Sdn Bhd is the logistics and distribution arm of the Albert Wines & Spirits Group, supporting the importation, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain operations of a diverse portfolio of wines, spirits, beers, premium waters, teas, and beverages.


As a sister company of Albert Wines & Spirits (M) Sdn Bhd, Sunrise Wine & Spirits manages the end-to-end logistics process, coordinating closely with international wineries, distilleries, breweries, beverage principals, shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure efficient importation, inventory management, customs clearance, warehousing, and nationwide distribution.


To support our continued growth and operational development, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial operations, reporting, banking matters, financial controls, and strategic financial planning.


We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working within shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, import and export, or related industries. Candidates with strong experience handling banking facilities, trade financing, and banking relationships related to shipping or import operations will have a strong advantage.


This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities. We are looking for someone who can strengthen financial governance, manage cash flow effectively, improve operational visibility, enhance cost controls, and support Management in the continued growth of a fast-moving logistics and distribution business.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee daily finance and accounting operations across the company
  • Manage monthly financial closing, financial reporting, and overall cash flow monitoring
  • Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis for business planning
  • Manage banking matters, financing facilities, trade financing arrangements, and relationships with financial institutions
  • Monitor operational costs, stock movement values, landed costs, shipping costs, duties, taxes, and company profitability
  • Coordinate with shipping, logistics, warehouse, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth financial workflows
  • Ensure proper documentation and financial compliance for importation, shipping, customs clearance, SST, taxation, and statutory requirements
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs agents, and other external stakeholders
  • Review payment schedules, overseas supplier payments, shipping-related payments, and financial commitments to maintain healthy business operations
  • Oversee payroll processing, staff claims, statutory contributions, and finance-related administrative matters
  • Improve internal finance SOPs, operational controls, approval processes, and reporting systems
  • Support Management in business planning, financial decision-making, cost management, and operational improvements


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is an advantage
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, import and export, or related industries is highly preferred
  • Experience dealing with banks on financing facilities, trade financing, or shipping-related banking arrangements is a strong advantage
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SQL is preferred
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and operate effectively in a fast-paced and growing business environment
  • Experience in FMCG, distribution, retail, wines and spirits, or beverage industries is an added advantage
