Role Description The Event Executive (Mandarin Speaker) is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role involves coordinating event logistics, managing timelines, and supporting the end-to-end execution of events, from initial planning through post-event follow-up. Day-to-day tasks include liaising with clients and vendors, preparing event proposals and documentation, handling bookings, and ensuring all event requirements are met on time and within budget. The Event Executive will communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and partners, assist with on-site set-up and teardown, and monitor event operations to resolve issues promptly. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, contributing ideas for event concepts, and collaborating closely with the internal team to deliver high-quality events.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events or tasks simultaneously.
  • Good interpersonal and client-facing skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Petaling Jaya, including occasional evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and comfort with using digital tools for scheduling and communication.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
  • Prior experience in events, hospitality, marketing, or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Diploma or degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related discipline is preferred.
