As our Retail Key Account Executive, you are the strategic architect of KITSUI’s footprint in the physical retail landscape. You don't just manage accounts; you own the relationship and the P&L. Your mission is to secure market leadership through aggressive negotiation, high-impact visibility, and data-driven category growth. You will ensure KITSUI isn't just on the shelf—it's dominating the Health & Beauty aisles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Partnership & Commercial Negotiation- Primary Liaison: Act as the lead negotiator and primary point of contact for Category Managers at Watsons, Guardian, and other regional powerhouses.
- Commercial Terms: Lead the negotiation of Trading Terms (TOT), listing fees, and rebates to protect margins and maximize brand profitability.
- Joint Business Planning (JBP): Conduct quarterly business reviews with retailers to align on long-term growth roadmaps and market share expansion.
2. Trade Marketing Strategy & Brand Visibility- Campaign Mastery: Design and execute a high-conversion Retail Marketing Calendar, strategically utilizing PWP, GWP, and "Kaw Kaw" deals to drive footfall.
- Visual Dominance: Oversee Planogram (POG) strategy and POSM execution (wobblers, end-caps) to ensure KITSUI maintains "Eye-Level" dominance and brand premiumization.
3. Leadership & Field Intelligence- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Promoters and Merchandisers, instilling a culture of excellence in replenishment and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) standards.
- Market Intelligence: Translate regular store visits into competitive intelligence, monitoring pricing shifts and competitor movements to pivot strategies in real-time.
4. Supply Chain & Demand Orchestration- Inventory Integrity: Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain a "Zero OOS" (Out-of-Stock) environment while proactively managing short-expiry risks.
- Predictive Forecasting: Use retail cycle data and festive trends to provide accurate demand forecasts, ensuring the brand is ready for peak-sales surges.
5. Data Analytics & ROI Optimization- Performance Metrics: Analyze sell-out data and market share reports to evaluate the ROI of every promotion.
- Executive Reporting: Present actionable insights to senior leadership regarding account profitability, KPI achievements, and retail trend shifts.
6. New Product Development (NPD) Launches- Go-to-Market (GTM): Lead the end-to-end listing process for new innovations, ensuring KITSUI’s newest products gain rapid entry and prime placement across all outlets.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven success in Retail Key Account Management. Experience in the FMCG or Health & Beauty sector is non-negotiable.
- The Network: You should walk in with an existing "Rolodex" of buyers and category managers at Watsons, Guardian, or AEON Wellness.
- The Skillset: You are a master negotiator who understands Retail Mathematics (GP%, Mark-ups, Rebates, and Margin protection).
- Technical Edge: Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to turn raw sell-out data into a growth story.
- Communication: Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to present confidently to both internal stakeholders and external retail partners.
