Role Description The Cybersecurity Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam. This role is responsible for monitoring and protecting Yusen Logistics’ information systems, networks, and data against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Day-to-day tasks include assessing security risks, managing security tools, investigating incidents, coordinating responses, and implementing preventive measures and security policies. The Cybersecurity Officer will collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure secure system configurations, support compliance with relevant standards, and conduct training and awareness activities for employees. The role also involves continuous improvement of security controls, documentation, and reporting to support business continuity and resilience.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of network and system security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, encryption, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance, and security policy development.
- Ability to perform security assessments, vulnerability management, incident analysis, and root-cause investigations.
- Familiarity with cloud security, identity and access management, and secure configuration of enterprise applications.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex security issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to a fast-paced, global logistics environment.
