Job Description

Responsibilities

1.0 ADMINISTRATION

· Source for and collate potential leads for all categories of business; corporate, tour, meetings, incentives and conventions as well as catering business. Qualifies leads with respect to rotation pattern as they relate to the type of business involved. E.g. citywide conventions, joint promotions with 3rd parties.

· Compile statistical data relating to market productions and specific accounts contribution to total business booked to provide a basis for monthly, quarterly and annual review.

· Review monthly statistical data reports from Opera Property Management System (OPMS) for error (s) made in input of data e.g. market segment classification, geographical sour

· Assists the Director of Sales in updating information contained in the Marketing Plan and Marketing Manual.

· Prepares report on opportunity dates for group business for the Director of Sale’s evaluation.

· Supervise and collate data on competitors’ activities

· Conducts direct mail campaign as detailed in the Direct Mail Plan and provide monthly productivity report for review with the Director of Sales.

· Establish accurate database with regular update for key market segments and food & beverage patrons.

· Assists the Director of Sales in managing club programs and its promotional activities.

2.0 FORECASTING

· To assist the Director of Sales in the 3 months and 12 months rolling forecast conducted on a monthly basis covering market segment breakdown by room nights, average rate and revenue.

· To track and establish daily pick up trends, occupancy history and market segment development to facilitate the forecasting process.

3.0 SALES

· Participate in special sales promotion programs or solicitations as may be directed by the Director of Sales. Handle room reservations coursed through the Sales Office in the absence of the person handling the account.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales or business development.

· Numerical skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Adaptability

· Communication skills and networking ability

. Travel for sales calls, networking events and trade shows when required.

· Good communicator with good command of written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia/English.
