As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our Academic Team.
Position Overview
The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective Mathematics lessons, promoting academic excellence, and creating a positive learning environment that supports the intellectual, social and emotional development of every student.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with school leaders and colleagues to uphold the school's vision and commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics in accordance with the Victorian Curriculum and school timetable.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
Monitor, assess and report student progress.
Prepare lesson plans, Schemes of Work and assessment materials.
Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Maintain positive classroom management and student discipline.
Participate in curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences and professional development programmes.
Support school events, co-curricular activities, assemblies and pastoral care programmes.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school leadership.
Comply with all school policies, including Health & Safety and Child Protection.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Head of School.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education or a related field.
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., Diploma in Education or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in an international or private school preferred.
Experience teaching the Victorian Curriculum, VCE, IGCSE, Cambridge or equivalent
international curriculum will be an advantage.
Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Strong classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
