Key Responsibilities :

1. Control Panel Design & Engineering

• Design, develop, and review control panels, including layout, wiring diagrams, and component selection in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.

• Ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical components within control systems.

• Perform load calculations, sizing of components, and ensure optimal panel functionality, safety, and maintainability.

2. PLC & Automation Integration

• Develop, program, and integrate PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for plant automation.

• Ensure seamless communication between mechanical equipment and electrical control systems.

• Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

• Support upgrades and modifications to existing automation systems.

3. Production & Manufacturing Support

• Provide engineering support to production and manufacturing teams during fabrication, assembly, and installation.

• Assist in resolving technical issues related to mechanical and electrical systems on the shop floor.

• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable.

• Collaborate with production teams to improve processes and reduce downtime.

4. Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for equipment and systems.

• Lead or support commissioning activities to ensure systems operate according to design specifications.

• Diagnose and resolve issues during testing and startup phases.

• Provide technical support during system handover to operations.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, manuals, and reports.

• Ensure all designs and implementations comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of design changes and project updates.

• Support audits and inspections as required.

6. Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting and resolving equipment failures.

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.

• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operational processes.

7. Safety & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all engineering activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.

• Incorporate safety features and risk mitigation measures into designs.

• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses where required.

• Uphold quality standards throughout design, manufacturing, and commissioning stages.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in industrial, manufacturing, or plant engineering environments.

• Strong knowledge of control panel design, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment integration.

• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial automation.

• Familiarity with industrial control principles, instrumentation, and process control systems.

• Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools.

• Good understanding of electrical standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., IEC, ISO).

• Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Willingness to travel to project sites and support on-site activities when required.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Candidates with experience in control panel manufacturing or system integration will have an added advantage.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred due to frequent communication with China-based counterparts.
