The Senior Copper Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for leading the copper fabrication department and ensuring all busbar manufacturing activities meet quality, productivity, safety, and project delivery targets. The role involves supervising fabrication personnel, optimizing production processes, and coordinating closely with Engineering, QA/QC, Testing, and Project Management teams.

Production Management

· Lead and manage all copper fabrication activities including cutting, bending, punching, drilling, and busbar assembly.

· Develop and monitor production schedules to achieve project delivery commitments.

· Ensure fabrication activities comply with approved shop drawings

· Monitor department productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Leadership

· Review fabrication drawings and identify manufacturing risks.

· Provide technical guidance on busbar design, fabrication methods, and installation requirements.

· Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement corrective actions.

Team Management

· Supervise fabrication technicians and team leaders.

· Conduct performance evaluations and skills development programs.

· Plan manpower allocation and overtime requirements.

Quality & Safety

· Ensure all fabricated busbars meet dimensional and quality specifications.

· Lead implementation of 5S and workplace safety programs.

· Support internal audits, customer inspections, and FAT activities. 

Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.

· Minimum 8 years experience in LV switchboard manufacturing.

· Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

· Strong knowledge of IEC 61439 and busbar systems.

· Experience in managing production teams of 5-10 personnels

· Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and fabrication layouts.

· On-time fabrication completion ≥95%.

· Busbar fabrication defect rate ≤2%.

· Material wastage reduction.

· Productivity improvement targets.

· Safety compliance and zero lost-time incidents.

· Customer inspection acceptance rate.
