Job Description

Responsibilities

Requirements – Senior Executive, Accounts (Shipment)

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in accounting, shipping, logistics, import/export, or a related role.

  • Good knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation, customs regulations, and freight operations.

  • Familiarity with accounting principles, invoice processing, reconciliations, and cost allocation.

  • Experience in handling shipping documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Delivery Orders, and Certificates of Origin.

  • Knowledge of Malaysian e-Invoicing requirements and LHDN MyInvois Portal is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP systems.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.

  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

Preferred Requirements (Optional)

  • Experience in a manufacturing or trading environment.

  • Knowledge of SST, customs duties, and import/export compliance.

  • Experience in SAP systems.

  • Good in Excel.

  • Available to start immediately.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify import/export shipment invoices and related accounting entries.

  • Monitor shipping costs, freight charges, duties, taxes, and other logistics expenses.

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers on shipment-related matters.

  • Prepare and review shipment documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs documents.

  • Reconcile shipment costs and ensure proper allocation in the accounting system.

  • Support monthly closing by preparing shipment-related reports and reconciliations.

  • Monitor export sales documentation and shipment schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company procedures.

  • Assist in e-Invoicing compliance and documentation requirements related to shipment transactions.

  • Prepare management reports on shipment activities, costs, and performance.
