About the role

Muar Ban Lee Group Berhad. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our engineering team in Muar, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering successful engineering projects from conception through to completion. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and overseeing various project activities, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements. This position is integral to our operations and directly contributes to the success of our major projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key responsibilities

1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation

2. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets with regular progress tracking

3. Liaise between design teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration

4. Monitor project progress against established milestones and take corrective action when necessary

5. Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards

6. Prepare detailed project reports, documentation, and technical drawings as required

7. Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns

8. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases

9. Manage procurement processes and maintain vendor relationships to secure necessary materials and services

10. Support senior engineers and project managers in the delivery of project objectives and strategic goals

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification

2. 2-5 years of experience in project engineering or a similar engineering role within the construction or manufacturing sectors

3. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and industry best practices

4. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications

5. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

7. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

8. Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure

9. Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

10. Professional certifications or memberships with engineering bodies are advantageous

11. Experience with AutoCAD or other design software is preferred
