About the role

As an Operations Manager at DRAGON FRONTIER SDN BHD', you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's Perai, Penang facilities. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the manufacturing, transport and logistics processes, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the daily operations of all aspect of production, ensuring optimal productivity, quality and safety.

• Responsible for managing manufacturing process, coordinating with cross functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet production goals and business target.

• Lead, mentor and develop the production team.

• Set KPIs and evaluate team performance aligning with company goals.

• Promote culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

• Evaluate and improve cycle times, reduce scrap and increase productivity.

• Ensure adherence to safety, health and environment regulations and ISO compliance.

• Manage departmental budget including labor, material usage, maintenance and utilities costs to improve cost efficiency and competitiveness.

• Provide reports to the top management on plant performance, opportunities, risk and improvement plans.

Qualification Required

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.

• 10 years of experience in manufacturing preferably with at least 5 years in plastic molding operations.

• Exposure in tooling and machine maintenance is added advantage.

• Strong leadership, possess good inter-personal and communication skills.

• Skills and good team player, result-oriented with positive thinking attitude to work towards company's KPIs.
