We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer – Security Systems to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of security systems at customer sites.

This role requires hands-on technical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

• Install, configure, test, and commission security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, intercom, and related electronic security solutions.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for security system equipment and infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and provide timely resolutions.

• Conduct system inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades as required.

• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, testing documentation, and handover documents.

• Provide technical support and basic training to customers on system operation.

• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth service delivery.

• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.

• Respond to service calls and attend to urgent breakdowns when required.

• Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and company assets in good condition.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in field service, technical support, installation, or maintenance within the security systems, ELV, building technology, or similar industry.

• Hands-on experience with systems such as CCTV, access control, alarm systems, intercom, networking, or related security solutions.

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, IT, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Basic knowledge of IP networking, cabling, electrical wiring, and system integration.

• Able to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Able to work independently and travel to customer sites within Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas.

• Possess a valid driving licence. Own transport is an added advantage.

• Willing to work after office hours, weekends, or public holidays when required for urgent service support.

• Experience with major CCTV, access control, or alarm system brands.

• Knowledge of network configuration, servers, switches, NVRs, DVRs, and IP-based security systems.

• Experience in commercial buildings, industrial sites, data centres, retail, hospitality, or government projects.

• Relevant certifications in security systems, networking, or electrical/electronic systems will be an advantage.
