CA Construction Hiring! Full Time Quantity Surveyor in Johor - Ricebowl

1. Pre-Contract

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope.

• Prepare quantity take-off and cost estimation for tender submission.

• Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for pricing comparison.

• Assist in preparing tender clarifications and submission documents.

• Attend pre-tender meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions with clients or consultants.

2. Post-Contract

• Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients/main contractors.

• Evaluate and verify subcontractors’ progress claims and prepare payment recommendations.

• Prepare variation order (VO) submissions, including measurement, cost breakdown, and supporting documents.

• Track and update project cost against budget, including material and subcontractor cost control.

• Manage contract correspondence related to claims, extension of time (EOT), and other contractual matters.

• Prepare final account for project closure with clients and subcontractors.

• Draft or prepare subcontract agreements and purchase orders.

• Keep records of correspondences, contract documents, and approvals for reference.

• Conduct site visits to verify progress, measurements, and completed work.

• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors for accurate quantity verification.

• Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for site valuation or remeasurement.

• Prepare monthly project cost reports and updates for management review.

• Maintain proper documentation for claims, variations, and final accounts.

• Track and report financial status of each project to ensure profitability.

3. Procurement

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors.

• Monitor material usage, wastage, and compare with budget quantities.

• Support management in cost forecasting, cash flow projection, and budget planning.
