Air Products Hiring! Full Time Project Engineer - Customer Engineering (Mechanical-Piping) in Johor - Ricebowl

We are hiring an experienced Project Engineer - Customer Engineering to support customer installations, mechanical piping projects and engineering services for industrial gas systems. This role combines project management, site execution and engineering design, working closely with customers, contractors and internal teams.

This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands‑on project work, customer interaction, and managing multiple engineering projects in parallel.

• Manage customer engineering projects including bulk liquid, microbulk, tanks, and piping installations.

• Prepare engineering layouts, P&ID drawings, and AutoCAD designs.

• Perform engineering calculations (flow rates, equipment sizing, system layout).

• Manage project scheduling, budgeting, and contractor coordination.

• Supervise on‑site installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

• Liaise with customers and relevant authorities for approvals and site requirements.

• Ensure all projects comply with safety, quality, and engineering standards.

• Support after‑sales call‑outs and maintenance activities when required.

• Travel to customer and project sites within Johor on short notice.

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in:

  • Project engineering / project management.

  • Mechanical or piping installation projects.

  • Industrial Gas, O&G, M&E consulting, or similar industries.

• Experience in AutoCAD, piping layout & P&ID drawings.

• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and on‑site work.

• Good analytical and calculation skills.

• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects.

• Own car and willing to travel frequently within Johor.

• Strong English communication skills (Mandarin is an added advantage).

• Exposure to real engineering projects – from design to installation and commissioning

• Strong technical and project career path (Senior Engineer / Lead opportunities)
