The Role at a Glance

We are looking for a Senior BI Developer with strong expertise in the Microsoft BI Stack to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building end-to-end BI solutions and working closely with stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions

• Design and maintain data models and schemas, including dimensional modelling

• Build and optimize ETL processes using SSIS

• Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, or similar tools

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries

• Ensure data accuracy through validation and governance practices

• Enhance performance of BI solutions and reporting outputs

• Implement data security and access control mechanisms

• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams

• Maintain clear documentation for data models, ETL workflows, and BI solutions

• Apply best practices across the Microsoft BI Stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)

• Stay updated on BI tools, trends, and emerging technologies

• Lead or contribute to BI projects, ensuring timely delivery

• Provide training and support to business users

• Troubleshoot and resolve BI and reporting issues

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Senior BI Developer / BI Developer

• Strong hands-on experience with MS BI Stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)

• Solid expertise in SQL, ETL, and data modelling

• Experience in data warehousing and performance optimisation

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives
