The Logistics Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing logistics operations and transportation projects to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods. The role oversees project execution, resource allocation, vendor coordination, compliance with regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement of logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage logistics projects from initiation through successful completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate transportation activities, fleet operations, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes.
- Monitor project milestones and ensure delivery within approved timelines and budgets.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise logistics personnel and assign operational responsibilities effectively.
- Evaluate logistics risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore transport regulations, workplace safety requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor inventory movement, shipment tracking, and delivery performance.
- Prepare logistics reports, project progress reports, cost analysis, and performance dashboards for management.
- Negotiate with logistics service providers and suppliers to achieve cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Review transportation routes and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate import and export documentation where applicable.
