Role Description The Building Management Systems Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Petaling Jaya, with some flexibility for work from home. This role involves designing, configuring, and programming Building Management Systems (BMS) to integrate HVAC and related building services equipment. The engineer will perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency, as well as provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project specifications, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and supporting maintenance and upgrades of existing BMS installations. The role also requires adherence to safety standards, quality procedures, and company policies while contributing to continuous improvement of building services and facility performance.

Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of Building Management Systems and plantroom systems used to control HVAC and related building services.
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Control/Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in BMS/CMS design, installation, commissioning, or maintenance, preferably within HVAC or building services industries.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, control schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and safety compliance.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and willingness to attend sites and client meetings as required.
