Job description
1. Import Documentation and Compliance
- Ensure all import-related documents, such as invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin, are accurate and complete.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable international trade laws, import/export requirements, and customs regulations.
2. Coordination with Suppliers and Freight Forwarders
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarding companies to manage the shipping schedules.
- Track shipments from origin to destination, ensuring that any delays or issues are promptly addressed.
3. Customs and Duty Management:
- Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes.
- Monitor the payment of customs duties, taxes, and fees to ensure timely settlement.
4. Inventory Management
- Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure proper receipt and storage of imported goods.
- Maintain up-to-date records of inbound shipments and update inventory databases as goods are received.
- Work with the inventory team to resolve discrepancies or damages related to imported items.
5. Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and shipment statuses.
- Prepare regular reports for management on the status of shipments, delivery timelines, and costs.
- Handle any post-shipping documentation and processes, such as returns or damaged goods claims.
6. Customer Service and Issue Resolution
- Provide timely updates to internal teams or clients regarding the status of their imported goods.
- Resolve any issues related to shipment delays, customs clearance, or damaged goods.
- Act as the point of contact for any issues related to imports and shipping, both internally and with external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in import shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external agencies.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
