Role Summary

The Operations Manager oversees day-to-day factory operations, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This includes production floor management, manpower planning, stock control, maintenance, and serving as the primary escalation point for production workers.

Job Description

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules for on-time delivery.
• Prioritise work orders based on urgency, commitments, and resources.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for production workers on technical, operational, disciplinary or workflow issues.
• Manage production floor teams, labour allocation, and production resources.
• Maintain machine maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Control stock levels and ensure material reconciliation accuracy.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, sales, and project teams.
• Enforce quality standards, technical specifications, and drawing compliance.
• Drive health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and support process improvements.
• Manage timely closing of work orders in SAP Business One with accurate records.
• Assist preparation of reports on production, performance, stock, and maintenance.

Requirements

Experience in factory operations, ideally in manufacturing or Logistics.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Knowledge of production planning, inventory, production floor operations, and maintenance.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and fabrication requirements.
Familiarity with health, safety, and compliance standards.
Ability to thrive under pressure with multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience
• Multi-skilled team management in fast-paced settings.
• Operational planning, stock control, maintenance, and process optimisation.
• At least 10 years of experience in Operations
