Full Time Internship - Bancassurance Underwriting Jobs, in Liberty General Insurance Berhad Kuala Lumpur - Ricebowl

1. Job Objective

Support the Bancassurance channel by providing underwriting support to internal and external stakeholders across product development, quotations, and risk assessment.

2. Roles & Responsibilities

• Learn commercial lines products (Property, Miscellaneous, Engineering)

• Understand insurance company policies, guidelines, and best practices.

• Assist in underwriting risks within company appetite and treaty limits.

• Support daily underwriting activities aligned with Bancassurance goals.

• Learn underwriting systems and business intelligence tools.

• Develop analytical and decision-making skills.

3. Success Metrics

• Profitability and quality of underwriting decisions

• Growth in written premium

• Accuracy and completeness of documentation

• Compliance with policies and regulations

• Turnaround time for quotations

• Continuous learning and skill development

4. Key Stakeholders

Internal: Distribution, Processing Unit, Finance, IT, Compliance, Legal, Underwriters External: UOB Bank and customers

5. Qualifications & Experience Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or Engineering, and any other discipline
• Professional: Relevant insurance qualifications (AMII, FCII or equivalent)
