We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented 3PL Operations Specialist to join our team based in Bayan Lepas, Penang .

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting shipments, monitoring delivery performance, ensuring customer requirements are met, and driving continuous process improvements across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipment Coordination: Determine expediting priorities and coordinate shipments to ensure efficient transport utilization.
• Supplier & Customer Communication: Liaise with suppliers and customers to provide shipment confirmations, updates, and timely operational communication.
• Operational Monitoring: Track purchase orders through to final delivery, monitor KPIs, and prepare weekly performance reports.
• Compliance Management: Ensure all operations comply with customer requirements, legislative regulations, fatigue management, and load restraint standards.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate service failures, delays, or damaged goods, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary communication point for customers, coordinating contingency plans when operational disruptions occur.
• Process Improvement: Review existing workflows and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Operational Support: Provide after-hours operational support on an on-call basis when required.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: Previous experience in expediting, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or oil & gas industries is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiar with ERP or material management systems.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
• Attention to Detail: Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility: Willing to provide on-call operational support outside normal working hours when required.
