We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance tests to assess the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our software applications and systems under various load conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Performance Test Planning: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand performance testing requirements, define performance objectives, and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Workload Modeling: Analyze system architecture and user behavior to develop realistic workload models and scenarios that simulate production usage patterns and load profiles.
• Test Environment Setup: Configure and prepare test environments, tools, and infrastructure required for performance testing, including test data, hardware, software, and network configurations.
• Performance Test Design: Develop performance test scripts and scenarios using performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling, to simulate user interactions and transactions.
• Test Execution: Execute performance tests according to the defined test plans and scenarios, monitor system performance metrics, and collect performance data to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze performance test results and metrics to identify performance bottlenecks, resource constraints, and scalability limitations, and provide recommendations for optimization and tuning.
• Scalability Testing: Conduct scalability testing to assess the system's ability to handle increasing loads and scale horizontally and vertically to meet growing user demands.
• Stress Testing: Perform stress testing to evaluate system stability and reliability under extreme load conditions and identify failure points and thresholds.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement performance monitoring and profiling tools to continuously monitor system performance and identify performance degradation and regressions.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare clear and concise performance test reports, including test results, findings, analysis, and recommendations, and communicate them to project stakeholders and management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in performance testing, with a focus on designing, implementing, and executing performance tests for complex software applications and systems.
• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar tools.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python for test automation and scripting.
• Knowledge of system architecture, network protocols, and web technologies (e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP, RESTful APIs) relevant to performance testing.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their performance testing capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Pay: Up to $4,000.00 per month
