Company Description QL Kitchen Sdn Bhd is a central kitchen and food manufacturing operation that produces food products in a controlled, hygienic environment. The company runs structured workflows across raw material handling, preparation, cooking and processing, packing, and storage, supported by cross-functional teams such as Production, Warehouse/Logistics, Engineering/Facilities, and OSHE. QL Kitchen prioritizes food safety, product consistency, operational efficiency, and workplace safety through clear SOPs, strict hygiene requirements, equipment maintenance routines, and safety controls. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Analyst role based in Shah Alam, Selangor. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and analyze operational and production data from multiple sources, including manufacturing systems. The role involves building dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions on efficiency, product quality, and risk management. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical requirements, recommend improvements based on findings, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also includes validating data integrity, documenting methodologies, and presenting insights in a clear and accessible format to stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, focusing on clear, user-friendly visualizations that support business decision-making.
  • Prepare and structure operational data from ERP and production systems for analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze operational and quality data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful data insights and visual reports.
  • Support business improvements by analyzing productivity, efficiency, waste, cost, and forecasting needs.
  • Provide support in operations digitalization initiatives, contributing to improved data structuring and process visibility.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related fields
  • Proficient in Power BI, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools (especially Excel).
  • Strong working knowledge of DAX and Power Query, including building data models, performing transformations, and creating calculated measures.
  • Experience working with complex data, with the ability to enhance data quality for reliable reporting.
  • Basic understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): able to collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources for reporting and analysis.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, including workspaces, datasets, and dataflows is preferred; familiarity with SQL and programming languages such as Python or R is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
