Company Description Music Rights (Singapore) Public Limited (MRSS) is a Singapore-recognised Collective Management Organisation representing record labels and music producers. MRSS licenses the use of sound recordings, music videos, and karaoke content across commercial and public platforms, and distributes collected royalties to its members. Established in 2018 through the merger of Recording Industry Music Services (RIMS) and Recording Industry Performance Singapore (RIPS), MRSS is recognised by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) under the Ministry of Law. Royalties are distributed quarterly with a final reconciliation at financial year-end, supported by the SoundSys system for royalty calculation, processing, and distribution management. Applicants joining MRSS will contribute to a structured, rights-focused organisation at the heart of Singapore’s music ecosystem.
