Responsibilities

Assistant Accounting Manager (based in Hong Kong office)

We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Assistant Accounting Manager to join the Finance team with a focus on property investments in various countries. The role will take ownership of accounting operations, tax reporting, month-end closing, management reporting support, and cross-border coordination across group companies. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and effective liaison with internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, lease data maintenance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and journal entries.

  • Month-end closing activities, including bank reconciliations and inter-company balance reconciliations.

  • Prepare and review full sets of management accounts, as well as supporting schedules and reconciliations for group companies.

  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements across group entities

  • Coordinate with external tax consultants on tax compliance, filings, and related advisory matters.

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of accounting records and financial reporting.

  • Handle daily accounting matters and provide support on ad hoc projects and assignments as required.

  • Coordinate with accountants of group companies across different offices, including Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK, and Canada.

  • Liaise with banks, external auditors, tax consultants and property managers to support smooth financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Qualified accountant is an advantage.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in real estate accounting is preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Office 365 and Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Yardi or real estate accounting systems will be an advantage.

  • Mature, responsible, and detail-oriented, with strong ownership of work quality and deadlines.

  • A strong team player who is also able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to contribute positively in a dynamic environment.

  • Flexible to work with colleagues or external parties in different time zones.

  • Excellent command of Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
