Role Purpose

To develop and lead our customer's enterprise data architecture blueprint, aligning with customer's standards while accounting for customer's unique operational needs. This role will drive architectural coherence, cross-functional alignment, and strategic guidance for digital and data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Data Architecture Blueprinting

• Develop target-state data architecture, including data domains, data flows, integration patterns, and platform design.

• Conduct gap analysis between current state and reference architecture.

• Justify company's specific design needs and exceptions.

• Visualize architecture designs to support senior decision-making.

2. Stakeholder Alignment & Governance

• Facilitate alignment across Business, IT, Digital, Data Governance, and functions.

• Support the Director in securing endorsement for company's architecture.

• Translate business strategy into data architecture implications.

• Establish architecture principles and reinforce adoption.

3. Strategic Advisory for Key Initiatives

• Provide high-level architecture guidance to ensure initiatives align with the endorsed blueprint.

• Highlight architectural risks, interdependencies, and trade-offs.

4. Architecture Standards & Oversight

• Promote reusable data assets, API patterns, and modelling standards.

• Collaborate with customer to align on evolving architectural models.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture.

• Experience in data modelling (conceptual/logical/physical).

• Expertise in integration patterns (API, ETL/ELT, services, event-driven architectures).

• Familiarity with data platforms (DWH, Lake/Lakehouse, MDM).

• Understanding information security and data governance.

• Strong visualization and documentation skills (e.g., ArchiMate, UML, data flow diagrams).

Business & Leadership Competencies

• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.

• Ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.

• Structured problem-solving capabilities.

Experience

• 10–15 years of relevant experience in architecture roles.

• Experience in large-scale transformation preferred.

• Experience in financial services or regulated industries is advantageous.
