Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Water Treatment Engineer role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Water Treatment Engineer will design, operate, and optimize water treatment and distribution systems for data centre cooling and related infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include monitoring system performance, conducting water quality testing, adjusting chemical dosing and treatment parameters, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The role involves troubleshooting issues in cooling towers, pump stations, and associated equipment, preparing technical reports, and recommending preventive and corrective maintenance actions. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams and clients, support commissioning and testing activities, and contribute to reliability improvements across water-related systems.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment, including process control, water quality monitoring, and optimization of treatment systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in Water Supply and Water Distribution, including system design, hydraulic performance assessment, and network reliability management.
• Candidates should possess skills in Pump Stations, including operation, basic sizing and selection understanding, and troubleshooting of pumps and related mechanical equipment.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with industrial cooling systems, data centre infrastructure, or utility-scale water systems is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and engineering specifications, and to prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely in an on-site engineering environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
