Position Title : Statutory Analyst

Industry: Oil & Gas (Shared Service)

Location: Menara Tan & Tan, Jln Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, 50400 Kuala Lumpur

Working Hours: Monday – Friday / 8.00AM – 5.00PM

Employment Type : 6 month contract with PERSOL

Salary Range: RM5,000 - RM7,000

Start Date : Immediate

About the Role

As a Statutory Analyst, you will be part of a global statutory reporting team, delivering best-in-class financial reporting and audit support while collaborating closely with Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, and Business teams worldwide.

This role offers excellent exposure to statutory reporting, financial analysis, audit coordination, and process improvement within a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review management and statutory financial statements
• Coordinate audit requests with auditors and cross-functional stakeholders
• Prepare financial statements and audit packs in compliance with local statutory requirements
• Perform analytical reviews and US GAAP-to-Statutory reconciliations
• Analyze financial data, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations
• Manage government reporting submissions and statutory deliverables
• Support audit, accounting, and finance-related ad hoc projects
• Evaluate, maintain, and improve financial reporting processes and efficiencies
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, and Business teams to achieve organizational goals

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CA
• 2–4 years of experience in Audit, Accounting, Finance or Shared Services
• Strong understanding of : IFRS, US GAAP, Financial Reporting, Statutory Reporting, Financial Statement Preparation
• Experience with: SAP, Oracle, HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Added Advantages

• Experience with Big 4 or professional accounting firms (PwC, EY, Deloitte, etc.)
• Exposure to Shared Services or multinational organizations
• Experience with data visualization tools such as: Power BI, Tableau or Similar reporting platforms
