Accounts/Admin Intern (Special Needs School)
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts/Admin Intern to manage our finance system and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations at our special needs school. This role will combine both finance and school administration responsibilities, offering a valuable learning opportunity in a meaningful education environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Support
- Assist the Finance Executive in preparing and maintaining financial records, invoices, and payment schedules.
- Support with data entry, bookkeeping, and accounting software.
- Help reconcile bank statements, receipts, and expense reports.
- Organize and maintain financial documents (both physical and digital).
- Participate in audits and compliance activities when required.
School Administration Support
- Assist with managing the student/teacher management system, including attendance, progress notes, and class schedules.
- Help coordinate therapy timetables (speech, occupational, early intervention) and ensure smooth session scheduling.
- Support in preparing and distributing parent communications, circulars, and billing notices.
- Maintain student records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist with organizing school events, workshops, and parent meetings.
- Provide support for staff administrative needs (e.g., leave records, training schedules).
- Help ensure the smooth running of daily school operations such as reception duties, filing, and office coordination.
- Assist teachers and therapists with resource preparation (printing worksheets, managing materials, setting up classrooms).
Teacher Support
- Help the teacher run daily lessons and activities.
- Prepare learning materials and keep the classroom neat and welcoming.
- Assist children with basic needs (e.g., meals, toileting, dressing) if required.
- Watch over children during class, play, mealtime, and outings.
- Make sure the classroom and play areas are safe and clean.
- Follow the school’s health, hygiene, and safety guidelines.
- Cooperate closely with teachers and therapists to support each child’s needs.
- Communicate kindly and clearly with staff, parents (when needed), and children.
- Join team meetings, training, and school events.
