Responsibilities

AJ Speech & Occupational Therapy Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist to join our team. We provide assessment and intervention services for children, & adolescents with communication, feeding, swallowing, learning, and vocational needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on clients' needs and goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Prepare clinical reports, progress notes, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Educate and provide guidance to parents, caregivers, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists and other professionals to provide holistic client care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.
  • Assist in developing therapy materials, programmes, and clinical resources.
  • Support vocational rehabilitation and community-based programmes where applicable.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and centre initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Therapy, or equivalent.
  • Eligible for professional registration with the relevant regulatory or professional body.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about working with children and individuals with diverse communication needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional languages are an advantage.
