JOB TYPE:

12 Months Renewable contract

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and warranty support.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain core banking payment applications.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform coding, unit testing, system integration testing, and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, QA teams, and regional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support production implementation, post-deployment validation, and warranty activities.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and change management processes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives..

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
• Minimum 6 years in As400 , Cobol, Db2, Aldon
• Strong experience in COBOL development.
• Experience with either:
• AS400 (IBM i) platform, or
• IBM Mainframe (S/390 / z/OS) environment.
• Experience working with DB2 databases.
• Familiarity with source/version control tools such as Aldon or equivalent.
• Good understanding of SDLC and application development best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a regional team
• Experience in core banking or banking payment systems.
• Exposure to payment processing applications supporting regional or multi-country operations.
• Experience with IBM Mainframe technologies (S/390, z/OS) is welcomed, as the skillset is considered transferable with minimal transition required.
• Knowledge of banking domain processes and financial services applications
