Job Requirements:

  • Education: Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience handling AR and/or AP functions. Fresh graduates or Junior Executives with relevant internship experience in General/Cost Accounting are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and double-entry bookkeeping. Familiarity with Oracle or a similar ERP system is a strong advantage.
  • Soft Skills: A proactive team player with a good sense of responsibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end outgoing payment cycle. This includes verifying supplier invoices, processing staff claims, and ensuring all liabilities are recorded accurately within the accounting system. 

Job Responsibilities:

Account Payables (AP) & Cash Management:

  • Vendor & Payment Processing: Verify, process, and reconcile vendor invoices, claims, and supplier payments accurately.
  • Banking Operations: Prepare and update the daily bank balance report and upload bulk transactions to the bank portal for payment processing.
  • Intercompany Payables: Perform intercompany AP reconciliation and match statements to ensure accuracy.

General Accounting & Compliance:

  • Month-End Closing: Responsible for the monthly closing of both account receivables, payables, and bank-related modules.
  • System Integrity: Ensure all accounting records are properly updated, verified, and reconciled against system transactions in the accounting software.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise effectively with vendors, internal departments, and staff to resolve payment or collection discrepancies.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Assist with ad-hoc financial tasks and audits as required by management.
