Job Summary

Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Engineering & Maintenance Department in ensuring the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and building systems are maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily maintenance operations, preventive maintenance programs, safety compliance, and technical support to ensure smooth hotel operations and excellent guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the Engineering & Maintenance Department.
  • Supervise technicians and maintenance staff to ensure work is carried out effectively and safely.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and on-job training to team members.
  • Monitor staff attendance, discipline, grooming, and performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and local authority regulations.
  • Assist in implementing workplace safety practices and preventive measures.
  • Ensure proper handling and maintenance of tools, equipment, and engineering inventory.
  • Support fire safety, emergency response, and energy conservation initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing maintenance reports, incident reports, and departmental documentation.
  • Monitor maintenance stock levels and coordinate purchase requisitions when necessary.
  • Support budgeting control and cost-saving initiatives within the department.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers when required.
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance works involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, kitchen equipment, and building systems.
  • Ensure all hotel facilities and guest rooms are maintained in excellent working condition.
  • Monitor and follow up on preventive maintenance schedules and corrective maintenance works.
  • Attend to maintenance issues and emergency breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding maintenance requests and operational support.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed within the required timeline.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in hotel engineering or building maintenance operations.
  • Experience in hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
