Job Summary
The Injection Moulding Technician is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing injection moulding machines to ensure smooth production operations, product quality, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and start up injection moulding machines according to production schedules.
- Perform mould installation, removal, and machine parameter adjustments.
- Monitor machine performance and optimize processing parameters.
- Troubleshoot machine, mould, and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and basic machine servicing.
- Ensure product quality complies with specifications and quality standards.
- Work closely with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams.
- Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and 5S practices.
- Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and reduce scrap.
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in plastic injection moulding.
- Knowledge of injection moulding machines and processing parameters.
- Able to perform mould changes and machine setup independently.
- Familiar with plastic materials, tooling, and quality requirements.
- Willing to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, or servo injection moulding systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Pay: RM1,521.62 - RM4,536.56 per month
