Job Scope: Assembly Technician

We are seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to support the assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning of advanced automation equipment used in semiconductor and industrial manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical assembly of automation equipment and machine components based on engineering drawings, work instructions, and project requirements.

The role includes carrying out electrical wiring, cable routing, component installation, and machine integration according to electrical schematics and technical specifications.

The candidate will also support the assembly and integration of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation components, as well as assist in machine setup, alignment, testing, and equipment integration activities.

During the assembly and testing stages, the candidate is expected to perform basic troubleshooting, identify assembly defects or technical issues, and support necessary rectification works.

The candidate will also be required to support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning activities, and on-site machine installation or deployment at customer sites when required.

In addition, the candidate shall maintain proper assembly records, checklists, and project documentation, and report any technical issues or improvement opportunities to the relevant team.

Qualifications

Working Experience

Candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience in machine assembly, automation equipment, manufacturing, or related industries are preferred.

Experience in semiconductor automation, machine building, or industrial automation will be an added advantage.

Education

Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related fields.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

The candidate should be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, sensors, motors, pneumatic components, and automation equipment is required.

The candidate should also have basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and be able to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.

Willingness to travel for installation and commissioning support when required is essential.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
