This role is responsible for developing test methodologies, analyzing measurement results, improving test capabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and next-generation photonic technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute design verification and characterization test plans for integrated photonic devices.
  • Perform chip-level and wafer-level characterization of active and passive photonic components.
  • Conduct optical-optical (OO), electro-optical (EO), and optoelectronic (OE) measurements under both DC and AC conditions.
  • Analyze test data, identify performance trends, and provide feedback to support design optimization.
  • Develop and maintain data processing and analysis programs to improve test efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and maintain photonic test setups and evaluate new test equipment where required.
  • Collaborate with Design, Process, Product, and R&D teams to resolve technical issues and support product development.
  • Contribute to the development and qualification of next-generation photonic technologies and products.
  • Document test procedures, characterization results, and engineering findings.

Ideal Requirements

  • Experience in the characterization and testing of integrated photonic devices is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with OO, EO, and OE measurements at both DC and AC levels.
  • Familiarity with optical test equipment, automated test systems, and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Good understanding of guided-wave optics and integrated photonic device principles.
  • Experience in test setup development, equipment qualification, and troubleshooting is an advantage.
  • Programming or scripting experience for data processing and automation is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
