Job Description

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support a global financial market infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for network operations, customer connectivity, troubleshooting, incident management, and automation across a highly available, low-latency network platform.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provision and support customer connectivity across multiple data centers.
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routing and customer-facing services.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to incidents in real time.
  • Troubleshoot complex network, connectivity, and market data issues.
  • Serve as an escalation point for operational and technical incidents.
  • Partner with internal engineering teams, vendors, and customers to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools using Python, APIs, and AI-assisted technologies.
  • Perform packet capture and traffic analysis to investigate connectivity and market data concerns.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • 4x10 shift schedule with one regular weekend day.
  • Start times may be as early as 7AM SGT based on operational requirements.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 4 years of Network Engineering experience (Cisco and/or Arista).
  • At least 4 years of experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  • At least 3 years of AWS Cloud Networking experience.
  • At least 3 years of packet analysis experience using Corvil or similar tools.
  • At least 3 years of UNIX/Linux shell scripting experience.
  • Experience with Python and API-based network automation.
  • Experience with Grafana monitoring tools.
  • Exposure to AI-driven automation tools (e.g., Claude Code) is highly desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.


Preferred Certifications


  • Cisco Certification (Associate level or higher)
  • AWS Certification (Associate level or higher)
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Corvil Certified Administrator/Expert
