Job Title: Fortinet Security Gateway Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fortinet Security Gateway Engineer to support a leading telecommunications environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Fortinet technologies, network security, and telecom core networks, with hands-on experience in managing carrier-grade security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and support Fortinet Security Gateway solutions.
• Administer and optimize FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, access controls, and security rules.
• Configure and support IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, and secure remote access solutions.
• Perform security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve security incidents and network issues.
• Support carrier-grade telecommunications infrastructure and critical business services.
• Conduct firewall rule reviews, policy optimization, and capacity planning.
• Participate in change management, system releases, and major incident resolution.
• Develop technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams including network, cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams.

Required Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in Network & Cyber Security Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet security solutions.
• Strong experience supporting Telecom Core Networks.
• Hands-on experience with Ericsson Core Network technologies.
• Experience in large-scale, high-availability security environments.
• Proven experience in carrier-grade telecom or enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience in leading security transformation, migration, or modernization initiatives.
