About the Role
This is a senior individual contributor role within the Internal Systems domain, focused on SAP BW/BPC functional analysis for large-scale, high-complexity projects. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving requirements definition, solution validation, and process redesign initiatives. The role carries leadership responsibility across project delivery and may include coordination of specialist team members.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and plan the definition, analysis, validation, and maintenance of functional requirements for large-scale, high-complexity, and high-system-risk projects, working in close liaison with business customers and cross-divisional stakeholders in line with evolving business requirements.
  • Validate proposed solutions to technical and/or business problems in relation to current and future business environments, reconciling business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Provide highly technical or relevant business knowledge across all phases of development and resolve unique and complex business problems, recognising technical constraints.
  • Produce and maintain conceptual models — both data and functional — in accordance with the adopted methodology.
  • Conduct presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives; approve and conduct training sessions on system solutions.
  • Monitor and apply knowledge of technological trends within the area of responsibility to deliver relevant solutions to business customers.
  • Lead and plan business process redesign and documentation as required for new technology, specifically within SAP BW/BPC.
  • Interface with application software development teams and other users as appropriate to explain and communicate solutions.
  • Organise, coordinate, and control the recurring output of one or several teams of specialists in accordance with established procedures; assist less senior team members in resolving complex problems.
  • Support business users on deployed and live systems as required.
What You Need to Succeed
  • 6 to 10 years of experience, preferably in similar functional analyst roles and/or related industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP BW/BPC functional analysis and business process redesign.
  • Proven ability to lead and plan requirements definition, analysis, and validation for large-scale, complex system projects.
  • Strong ability to reconcile business requirements with technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience producing and maintaining conceptual data and functional models in line with established methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations on system enhancements and conduct training sessions.
  • Experience coordinating and providing professional leadership to specialist teams.
  • Strong accountability mindset with the ability to manage delivery, escalation, and closure of complex workstreams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, knowledge-sharing, and operational excellence standards including security, availability, and reliability.
Nice to Have
  • Post-graduate qualification in Marketing, MBA, or equivalent.
  • Experience within the financial services or financial technology industry.
  • Familiarity with supporting live/deployed SAP systems in a business user-facing capacity.
  • Experience advising on people management and departmental management issues.
