Responsibilities

Intern — Computer Vision & AI Quality Inspection

We are looking for an intern to support the development and deployment of computer vision models for manufacturing quality inspection and assembly validation. The intern will work closely with PME and R&D engineers to collect image datasets, perform image labeling, train AI vision models, and optimize model performance for robust production use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect large image datasets from production parts, assemblies, and inspection samples.
  • Perform image labeling and annotation for computer vision model training.
  • Support AI model training for object detection, presence checking, orientation validation, OCR, and assembly inspection.
  • Capture image variations such as lighting condition, angle, position, product variation, and defect conditions to improve model robustness.
  • Validate trained models against real production samples and identify failure cases.
  • Support assembly inspection and quality validation activities using AI vision tools.
  • Work with PME and R&D engineers to improve dataset quality, training methods, inspection accuracy, and deployment readiness.
  • Document training results, model performance, test findings, and improvement actions.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Engineering
  • Basic understanding of image processing, computer vision, AI/ML, or manufacturing inspection is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with cameras, images, datasets, and labeling tools.
  • Detail-oriented, patient, and systematic in handling large amounts of image data.
  • Able to work closely with engineers and production teams.
  • Basic Python knowledge is an added advantage, but not mandatory.
