Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) – Cable Landing Station

We are looking for a Civil & Structural Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end civil and structural design of next-generation Cable Landing Stations (CLS) supporting international submarine cable systems and high-capacity terrestrial networks. The role is responsible for delivering safe, robust, and regulatory-compliant structural and civil engineering designs for subsea landing facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the end-to-end civil and structural design of Cable Landing Stations supporting submarine cable and terrestrial backhaul infrastructure
• Develop and review civil and structural engineering designs including buildings, foundations, cable routes, trenching, ducting, and beach manhole structures
• Define civil and structural technical requirements and ensure coordination with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, telecom, and power system designers
• Support feasibility studies, site selection, and technical due diligence for CLS development from a civil and structural perspective
• Manage civil and structural engineering consultants through concept, detailed design, and construction phases
• Ensure integration of beach manholes, cable landing structures, and terrestrial ducting systems within overall site design
• Conduct design assurance, structural assessments, and value engineering for civil and structural works
• Support construction and commissioning through technical reviews, site inspections, and resolution of civil/structural issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, international standards, and local regulatory requirements
• Act as civil and structural technical interface with project stakeholders, vendors, and authorities
• Act as a key technical interface for stakeholders including vendors, regulators, and project partners

What you should have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil and structural design for mission-critical infrastructure, such as Cable Landing Stations (CLS), data centres, telecommunications facilities, industrial plants, or similar infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, reinforced concrete and steel design, foundations, buildings, cable trenches, duct banks, and associated civil infrastructure.
• Experience in the design and coordination of civil and structural works with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications disciplines.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or other relevant structural design tools.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes, structural design standards, local authority requirements, and engineering best practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills when working with consultants, contractors, and technical partners.
• Ability to manage design interfaces and ensure civil and structural design integrity from concept through detailed design and construction support.
