Job Summary

The Junior DTP will mainly focus on artwork amendment and artwork checking based on customer requests and instructions from the Sales Coordinator or Senior DTP team.

This position will support the preparation of production artwork and assist the DTP department in ensuring all artwork amendments are completed accurately before submission for Artwork QC and final engraving.

The role is intended as an entry-level position with structured training and career development into a full DTP Executive.

Key Responsibilities

Artwork Amendment

• Carry out customer artwork amendments according to approved instructions.
• Modify artwork based on customer revision requests.
• Ensure all artwork amendments comply with customer specifications and internal standards.
• Update artwork files while maintaining version control.

Artwork Preparation

• Prepare production-ready artwork for internal processing.
• Assist Senior DTP personnel with artwork development and file preparation.
• Support urgent artwork amendment requests to meet customer delivery schedules.

Artwork Checking

• Perform preliminary artwork checking before submission to Artwork QC.
• Ensure all amendment instructions have been correctly implemented.
• Verify basic artwork elements before releasing files for final inspection.

Coordination

• Coordinate closely with the Sales Coordinator regarding customer amendment requests.
• Work with the Artwork QC team to rectify any artwork discrepancies identified during inspection.
• Coordinate with the China Artwork Team or external artwork team when required. Candidates with Mandarin proficiency will have an added advantage.

Documentation

• Maintain proper artwork records and revision history.
• Ensure artwork files are organised according to company procedures.
• Assist in maintaining artwork databases and file management.

4. Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, or a related field.
• Candidates with experience in printing, packaging, pre-press, or graphic design are encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

5. Technical Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of artwork preparation and graphic design principles.

Training will be provided for candidates without experience in gravure printing or flexible packaging artwork.

7. Preferred Candidate

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in printing, packaging, flexible packaging, or pre-press.
• Graphic design background.
• Experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin for coordination with the China Artwork Team.
