Overview:
The Senior Project Manager drives the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional initiatives. Serving as the vital link between executive leadership and project teams, this role ensures alignment with corporate objectives, budgets, and timelines. Key responsibilities include defining scope, mitigating risks, allocating resources, and managing stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills, fostering team collaboration to optimize workflows, meet quality standards, and deliver high-impact results that support organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Solution Architecture
- Developing strategies and roadmaps for the Campaign/Marketing application solution/platform.
- Analyzing and consolidating business requirements to develop functional specification designs.
- Understanding short and long-term goals and objectives to recommend technical solutions and services.
- Participating in and contributing to the development of technical/business approaches and/or the recommendation of current system enhancements.
- Understanding the underlying technologies and applications utilized to direct how to design, develop, test, and implement priority technology requirements.
- Developing the overall campaign/marketing application process, technical, functional, and programmers specifications.
- Performing impact studies of new enhancements to existing campaign/marketing applications processes.
Project Management & Delivery Execution
- Managing and coordinating the overall development, SIT, UAT, and Implementation efforts of major projects to ensure technical requirements are met within project timelines.
- Overseeing progress of campaign/marketing projects, change requests, and problem resolution for the section.
- Monitoring technical tasks and ensuring deliverables are delivered within the project timeline.
- Developing and managing the project timeline for campaign/marketing application projects.
- Tracking and communicating key milestone status to the Head of Department.
Team Mentorship & Capacity Building
- Assisting the Campaign lead in coordinating team assignments and activities.
- Providing technical training to equip and uplift the skills of the team members.
- Providing knowledge transfer on new projects for BAU support.
Governance, Testing & Compliance
- Working with Business PMs, Business Users, and IT PMs to define and support Business UAT scopes, detail test cases, and schedules.
- Ensuring that all processes and governance are adhered to.
- Preparing documentation to ensure all change management, release management, and governance processes are adhered to.
Operational Support & Issue Management
- Ensuring delivery against agreed-upon SLAs and overall service delivery of campaign/marketing applications.
- Managing issues proactively, including timely resolution and identification of long-term remediation opportunities.
- Identifying and resolving systemic issues to prevent them from repeating.
- Designing and implementing the organization's Campaign/Marketing Platform operational procedures.
Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:
Education/Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with IT focus
- Malaysian citizen
Experience
- 3 years or more of experience in delivering Campaign/Marketing applications (preferably in Financial Services)
- Experience in SAS CI360, SAS 9.4 platform, Salesforce CRM, Tableau is a major plus
- Background in Python, SAS Base programming, or other languages used for complex data manipulation.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for relational database querying and data modelling.
- Strong working knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and data integration methodologies.
